作为一名社工和义工，我们遇到了无数的贫困家庭，而最让我们心寒的是目睹了许多积极进取或有潜力的年轻人被剥夺了获得最佳教育体验的机会。 由于家里与大学的距离遥远却选择了这机会。大学对来自 B40 家庭的学生来说是一件昂贵的事情。 在某些情况下，上课根本不可能，因为更需要有限的钱来购买简单的必需品，例如租金、食物、水电费等。Didik-Kasih EduCare Program 是本协会的主要项目之一，该项目提供学习援助，旨在帮助潜在及希望继续高等教育的贫困小孩，为他们提供启动援助和十二个月的每月津贴，以支付他 / 她在学习期间的生活费用，以便他们能够专心学习。除此之外，宏愿慈善协会的另外一个慈善项目就是“陪购计划”(Shopping Buddy Program)，此项目是给予贫困家庭生活上所需要的物资。捐款多少不设限，您捐进来的每一分钱，我们都会无比感恩与珍惜。因为您的捐款可以让本协会能够持续帮助更多有需要被援助的弱势群体。The current COVID-19 outbreak, the recent Klang Valley floods, and the global economic downturn have driven many of the B40 communities even further into poverty and hardship. Many people are losing their daily salaries, putting them in an even more precarious position. Rakan Shopping Program steps in to provide a short-term solution to ensure that these B40 families living in PPR have access to safe and healthy meals every day.As social workers & volunteers, meeting countless poor families, what breaks our hearts most is to witness many highly motivated or potential youths are being robbed from the chance of them to get the best education experience possible. Living far away from Universities and Colleges means school becomes an expensive affair for students coming from the B40 community. In some cases, attending classes at all becomes an improbability, because there is a higher need for limited amounts of money to go into a simple necessities, such as rental, food, utility payments and etc. Didik-Kasih EduCare Program, I would rather call it an opportunity to change our youths’ future by making tertiary education opportunities accessible to them.Thank you in advance and I sincerely appreciate for your kind support, giving us a chance to help those in need on your behalf, I believe together we can make a difference in the lives in need.Sincerely, Andrew & Adeline -

Hello and very good morning! I would like to begin by introducing myself. My name is Nur Alfadina Binti Mohd Borhan, but you can call me fafa or alfa and I am 20 years old. I am now pursuing a Diploma in Information Management at UiTM Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently residing in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.Next, I wanted to participate in this fundraiser with Great Vision Charity Association in order to gain new experience since this is my very first time participating in this program. Other than that, I am also a student from the Didik Kasih program who receives a monthly allowance from Didik Kasih, I was curious how challenging it is to obtain the fund. Adakah NGO (Non-Government Organization) masih relevan pada abad ke 21?? Apa yang NGO buat?? Alah, JKM kan ade, kenapa masih perlu NGO?Ini antara beberapa persoalan yang bermain difikiran aku dahulu kala dan aku rasa orang ramai pun masih memikirkan persoalan ini.Jom kita rungkai persoalan diatas berdasarkan pandangan peribadi aku.NGO (Pertubuhan Bukan Kerajaan) adalah merupakan pertubuhan yang ditubuhkan oleh pihak atau pertubuhan swasta yang tidak mempunyai apa-apa hubungan dengan mana-mana kerajaan. So, basically NGO ni bebas politik.Adakah NGO masih relevan? Yup, pada aku NGO masih relevan & akan terus relevan sampai bila – bila. NGO ditubuhkan untuk mengatasi masalah – masalah social dikala negara sedang pesat membangun. Ianya juga ditubuhkan bertujuan untuk memperjuangkan sesuatu agenda social dimana ianya selalu dipandang enteng oleh masyarakat dek kerana kerakusan mengejar arus permodenan. Contohnya macam nasib serta hak golongan yang kurang bernasib baik.Apa NGO buat? NGO banyak melakukan kerja dibelakang tabir. Senang cakap kerja tak famous. Kerja yang tidak melibatkan keuntungan. Namun setiap kerja yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memupuk sifat tanggungjawab antara masyarakat disamping melahirkan kesedaran dikalangan masyarakat. Setiap kerja yang dibuat tidak mengharapkan balasan namun berharap ianya dapat memberikan anjakan perubahan kepada sikap, pandangan serta tanggapan masyarakt umum kepada sesuatu masalah social.Contohnya, umum mengetahui bahawa masih terdapat rakyat Malaysia yang hidup dibawah paras kemiskinan. Bayangkan, golongan – golongan ini kekadang makan sehari cuma sekali. Tinggal dirumah usang, tak ada kemudahan asas air & elektrik. Anak – anak terpaksa dinafikan hak pendidikan disebabkan tidak mampu untuk menyediakan kelengkapan persekolahan. Isu – isu ini yang akan NGO akan cuba berikan bantuan. Ada NGO yang berikan bantuan kelengkapan barangan dapur, ada NGO yang menyediakan bantuan pendidikan.Alah, JKM kan ade, kenapa masih perlu NGO? JKM wujud bertujuan untuk membela nasib masyarakat serta golongan yang kurang bernasib baik. Namun, kita perlu sedar bahawa JKM saja tak mampu nak ubah serta bela nasib – nasib golongan yang kurang bernasib baik. Sebaliknya masyarakat patut bersama – sama bersama JKM untuk membela nasib golongan ini. Namun disebabkan sikap enteng & kurang keprihatinan, masyakat sering mengabaikan golongan ini. Bila macam ni, NGO akan back up JKM. Apa yang JKM terlepas pandang, NGO akan cuba berikan bantuan dan salurkan maklumat kepada JKM. Boleh dikatakan NGO & JKM saling melengkapi satu sama lain.Ini cuma pandangan peribadi aku. Next posting kita akan bincang tentang pendidikan dan golongan kurang berkemampuan. -

Apa yang korang tahu tentang kerja amal kebajikan? Kerja amal kebajikan ni adalah 1 platform untuk membentuk/ melatih diri untuk membentuk sikap kesularelawan didalam diri.Masyarakat selalu memandang mudah bab kerja amal ni. Kebanyakannya merasakan bahawa wujudnya kerja amal ni sebab ada golongan – golongan mengambil kesempatan diatas kemurahan hati sesetengah pihak.Memang diakui bahawa ada sesetengah penerima bantuan memang mengambil kesempatan diatas kemurahan hati NGO. Namun jangan pukul rata dan anggap semua penerima bantuan adalah sama. Bantuan yang disalur kepada mereka ini ibarat talian hayat/ peluang kedua untuk mereka meneruskan hidup. Kita mungkin selesa dengan hidup kita namun harus diingat ada individu/ keluarga yang kurang berkemampuan terutama dari golongan B40 yang masih meraba – raba untuk meneruskan hidup.Tahun 2020 & 2021 adalah tahun yang suram buat Malaysia akibat Pandemik Covid-19. Tahun 2022 merupakan tahun untuk seluruh rakyat Malaysia bangkit semula selepas kita akhirnya berjaya mengatasi pandemik ini. Namun, harus diingat bahawa kesan Pandemik Covid-19 ini turut dirasai oleh segenap lapisan masyarakat tidak terkecuali individu/ keluarga dari golongan B40.Persatuan Harapan Mulia telah melancarkan #HarapanMuliaCampaign sebagai salah 1 inisiatif bersasar untuk membantu golongan ini. Kita memfokuskan 2 langkah iaitu:- Bantuan barangan runcit & keperluan asas melalui Rakan Shopping Project
- Bantuan elaun sara hidup untuk pelajar dari kalangan B40 untuk meneruskan cita – cita mereka melanjutkan pengajian ke tahap yang lebih tinggi melalaui Didik Kasih Educare Program.

OBJECTIVE
Charity is a form of education. The implementation of charity culture into schools serves to jump-start students into organizing community projects voluntarily while enhancing their self-development and hence, delivering positive energy into our community.HOW WE HELP
We actively collaborate with students from various societies in schools and universities. Talks and knowledge sharing sessions are conducted for the students and these students will then take the initiative to organise community projects with Great Heart acting as partners in support of them by providing them with guidance and funding.HOW YOU CAN HELP
Monetary donation to support the activities. Every year, Great Vision aim to allocate RM3,000 per student group for 12 different sessions in a year. That totals to RM36,000 annually.Volunteer your time, should the activities organised by the students require the assistance of volunteers. -

Introduction
The Shopping Buddy Program is a program conducted by the association on the third Saturday of each month, where 10 selected underprivileged families will be invited for a groceries shopping session with volunteers from the association. RM100 cash vouchers would be handed out to each selected families, which is hoped could help ease the burden of the families. It is a program that is run by the Great Vision Charity Association in collaboration with other partner association members so that they could influence more members to act as volunteers for charitable events.Pengenalan
Program Rakan Shopping adalah program yang dijalankan oleh pihak persatuan pada hari Ahad ketiga setiap bulan, di mana 10 keluarga kurang bernasib baik terpilih akan dijemput ke sesi membeli-belah barangan keperluan rumah dengan sukarelawan dari persatuan itu. Baucar tunai RM100 akan diberikan kepada setiap keluarga yang terpilih, yang diharap dapat membantu meringankan beban keluarga-keluarga tersebut. Program ini dijalankan oleh Persatuan Harapan Mulia dengan kerjasama ahli-ahli persatuan-persatuan dan badan-badan rakan supaya mereka boleh mempengaruhi lebih ramai ahli untuk bertindak sebagai sukarelawan dalam aktiviti-aktiviti amal. -

I always believe “Love and kindness are our light, guiding us through times of darkness”.I started “Donate a Chance”, because I realise most underprivilege they’re not given the chance to expose to opportunities, such as education, jobs, circle of friends and etc.It breaks my heart to see so many people still living in poverty and yet not doing anything, so it is a moral thing to help them, so that we really do something in this world. I believe everyone deserve a chance, give them the hope and the chance to complete their life without any obstacles.Why I joined this initiative? Many teenagers they have a bright future ahead of them, but opportunity is what they’re always lacking off.I personally love Didik Kasih EduCare program, a lot. It helps the student from lower income family to support the things that they are really lacking of. Indirectly, they are also lowering the families’ burden, while their children are able to pursue for a higher learning education.Being as a college/university student has never been easy. Aside from the academically stress, even if you are being fully sponsored on your academic, you will still need extra income to live, even if you are having mix rice or Maggie goreng every day. It adds up to an average of RM10.00 a day, just for a meal. What about the rental? Utilities bill? Transport? This may cause extra stress to the student which possible to distract them from their studies.I’m a passionate and driven person. I thrive on challenges and constantly setting goals for myself, so I have something to strive towards. I've been working in Great Heart Charity for a year now! To celebrate this, I am raising funds for Persatuan Harapan Mulia, our sister NGO which is now coincidentally running the #HarapanMulia fundraising campaign.Working with the most marginalised communities in our society for a year now has, quite frankly, broken my heart. I can't pick up phone calls because I don't know how to reject people in need in place of other people in need (which is why I do social media). It is hard, and often painful, work.While I do work here, I am by no means receiving a cut from this, nor does this affect my KPI. I'm doing this because people are hurting. People are losing their jobs. The fact that I am doing this from my work from home table is a privilege that not many have, & something that Persatuan Harapan Mulia is working daily to help.My goal of RM10,000 comes nowhere close to the charity's main goal of RM500,000. However, this big goal just goes to show the big dreams that the charity has to reach out to B40 communities across the Klang Valley to supply groceries through the Rakan Shopping Program, as well as to fund the studies of underprivileged students via the Didik-Kasih EduCare Program.Should I hit my goal, I will be shaving my head (completely, fully, no hair!) as my hair is currently dyed, which means I can't donate it. To give my hair a fresh start so that it can help others in the future, is on par with how your donations will give a fresh start to those affected by poverty and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.Donations can be made right here!
