Rakan Shopping with PPR Sri Kota
On 13th August 2017, 10 families from PPR Sri Kota, Bandar Tun Razak have been selected to join our Rakan Shopping Program August edition at Tesco Extra Cheras.
This round, we have 23 volunteers from Sunway Student Volunteers & Great Heart Charity Association joined us in making this event a success!
Thanks to the contribution of our kind donors, besides getting the chance to shop for RM100 worth groceries at Tesco, each family also received a goodie bag that contained oil, can food and some snacks.
It was a pleasure morning when volunteers get to spend time and care for each assigned family. The families were also very grateful with the aid given to lessen their household burden.
“The families are very grateful of the good things/ opportunities that comes to their life even though the amount may not seem very much to us. It makes me realizes that i need to be always grateful for the things i get in my life and learn to share with the people who are in need.” commented by a volunteer, Aqilah.
